WELCOME TO THE FUTURE OF THE LATINA NEW WAVE IN ART, LITERATURE, CINEMA: A PREVIEW OF "THE GIRL MUST DIE"

Click HERE to download a PDF sample of The Girl Must Die illustrated preface (be patient while it downloads)

and as usual, click the picture for a bigger version of pie-eating fear...
...and we've decided to call our publishing company: KITTY FAT.

why? because it's what MONSTER GIRLS eat!

...nah. because there's nothing better than a handful of cold kitty fat.
not even turning over your pillow to the cold side beats kitty fat.

but what's just as good is that i JUST got a grant from the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation to WRITE the book!
they're the ones who gave me the grant that enabled me to ride cross country and write Flaming Iguanas when I got "laid off" from the xerox shop i raped and pillaged for my art, back in 1995 or 6.
they're good luck like you wouldn't believe.

i'm going around feeling so cool, i'm even going to sleep with AC/DC blaring in my ears because amazingness never sleeps, you know. i'm ready to wake up and stomp and prance at a moment's notice.

wish me luck with writing the rest of this thing. Please pretty please tell me what you think!
If y'all think i suck, i'm toast.

The shopping cart illustration is un-real, my favourite one.

Congrats on the grant!

I can't wait til this is out and ready. It looks amazing, as expected.

I'm waiting on a grant too and am delighted you got yours.Maybe there's some good karma flying around.

I'll have to see if I can afford to treat myself to Flaming Iguanas for Christmas -sounds fun. Anyways keep writing, keep smiling & work with a good editor thats my advice!

Think you have a girl gonzo thing going

I've been on the shit train for sometime now and its good to know that some of us are seeing light at the end of the tunnel...

First: Congrats on the grant!
Second: I loved the preface. It was powerful, deep, and gut-renching in a not-skeevy way. You touched an inner chord:"For some it is a calling...directed by an unknown force." That is me...my other self; my true self. Bah. I digress. :)
Love it. Do more. Put the grant to good use.

"write!"?
i AM.
not nearly as minimalist as you, though.
maybe you're implying i'm "typing"?
that's a whole other argument about quality.
