Happy Birthday, Brad Wyman. You Could've Stopped at "Freeway."

It's May 13 and Brad Wyman's birthday, as well as opening day at the Cannes Film Festival. Movie Producer, Brad Wyman, along with all the other movie prods, make the first-class flight pilgrimage from LA each year like geese flying to the South of France, airborne with the free drinks, then tweeting with their adorably giddy summer camp vacation personalities from Iphones during the O'Hare or JFK airport layovers.

For some of us, this is a Sacred Time because this is the legendary (whateverssary) time of year when Brad Wyman discovered Matt Bright's script for "FREEWAY" in a stack of scripts on the night stand of some guy who got lucky and left his hotel to Brad.

While producers paddle around the South of France to see movies like French Foie Gras ducks paddling up to the mythical farmer's wife so she can slide the feed tubes down their gullets, we celebrate this as if it were our Superfreak Christmas.

The Sacred Time when "Freeway" was born.

This is Reese Witherspoon at her most gorgeous crazy mad best. After this movie, she went away and came back as a white blonde girl and started talking in British accents I think. I don't know. I barely recognized her in anything after "Freeway" came out. Between her and Alicia Silverstone, It was just a blinding white light of whiteness. White things. White cleavages. White pages.

White pages.

It all starts with the white pages doesn't it? Black dogs, The Abyss, Utter despair for the writer... and cumulous white pages for everyone else.

My hair is also white now because I was the one who was speaking in tongue, transcribing history to the backside of a Trader Joe's grocery bag. Looking back, it all seems so inevitable. So planned. Makes the DaVinci Code seem as free form as a game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey. The Legend of How Brad Found Freeway is on par with a conspiracy theory in "The Conversation." Read the pages below and see the Scriptures for yourself. . They are in a secret vault next to the REAL Columbo rain coat....

Happy Birthday, Wyman... We monstery girls salute you with our switch blades and big, glittery fuschia kisses....
